1. Written by Nicole on January 18, 2012 from richardson, texas, US I had my home loan with First Horizon. My husband was layed off like everyone else in the construction business 3 yrs ago. We barrowed and sold everything we had to cover the payments. Starting in Jan 20011 I started filing modification papers. I knew we were not going to be able to pay a month we were behind on, but i could keep paying monthly. So I must have emailled the forms in 20 times in 4 months. During this time my husband was layed off another month. He has currently been back to work full time since june 2011 During the time I was filing mod papers they were swithching my loan to Nation Star. No one told me when i called once a week to check the on my loan modification. I got told somwthing different everytime. They always told me they didnt have it or it takes 30-90 days. The whole time they where giving my loan to Nation Star. I sit here today going through the same thing with Nation Star. I have sent the paper work they ask for over and over again. I wanna keep my home! I cant afford league help, so im trying to do it alone. this sucks
2. Written by Sam on November 29, 2011 from oklahoma city, oklahoma, US Wow. I had a home loan with First Horizon back in the late 90s. It seems that nothing has changed. My first year with them was fine. The 2nd year into the loan I get a letter stating that I had a escrow shortage & my house payments are going up $75 a month. The next year I have an overage & they went down $25, the next year I have a shortage again & this time they are going up $150 a month. Later into that same year they called me offering to draft my payments out of my checking account every 2 weeks, supposedly saving me 1000s' a year in interest & also, supposedly, with this company they are using to provide this service, once I am establiashed with them I can purchase a car, etc through the same process. the payments were coming out of my checking account so i thought all was well. 3 months later I get a letter telling me my house is going to be foreclosed on as they havent gotten a payment in 3 months. I tried calling the company that was connected to FH taking the money out of my account & could never reach them so I called FH. they gave me another number & all I ever got was a voicemail system. When I called FH back & told them I would turn them & this other company they recommended in for fraud they magically found those missing 3 house payment however, even after selling that home 10 years ago it still shows on my credit that those payments were late. The way I sold the house even left me with a house note that shows paid in full in just 5 years but those 3 payments still show as over 90 days late. Warn your friends & family never to use FH!

Written by Tammy Cantrell on November 2, 2011 from greenville, south carolina, US Same thing happend to me and my husband, trying to do a loan mod and we had to keep sending in paperwork, they kept telling us they were working on it and that all was fine, we received a knock on the door with foreclosure papers soon after, we did save our home only after we had to go into our 401K. They told us we would start over with the loan mod with new payments. If anyone does get a class action, let us know!!! |

6. Written by Connie on October 17, 2011 from russellville, arkansas, US We took out a 2nd on our home 3 yrs ago. The FH agent had us pay all our outstanding debts and made us agree to pay off a $7500 car loan. When we went to sign the paperwork, the rate had changed, but we were now broke & felt we had no choice but to go through w/ it. We also found out they lied about doing an appraisal. Later on, after we threatened to sue them, they quickly sold our loan. We took the loan 3 yrs ago. Do we still have any recourse? We are having a hard time finding an an attorney in our area who does these kinds of cases.
7. Written by Daramy66 on September 25, 2011 from reston, virginia, US I have been with First Horizon for 10 years, and they are rude, unhelpful and make no effort to work out something with me. The last phone call I had with them, the girl told me that me and the girl leasing my home, should have a rummage sale to make some money to pay back late fees! I am almost at foreclosure status, and I cannot figure out why they would want my property, it's a money pit.
8. Written by Stacie Felldn on September 22, 2011 from san jose, california, US Was trying to modify for the last two years with First Horizon. We wanted tosend them money. They rfused. They said lets get the paper work going first and then they would except payment. Just when we thought everything was set, we received word on 7/16/11 on a Friday that our home was up for auction the following monday. There was no one to talk to, no one to call. Scrambling Monday morning to save our home, we lost. Sold on the steps at the court house. We want our home, we can pay on our home. They said they would work with us. They lied. Any class action suets out there?
9. Written by Seattle Condo Owner on September 8, 2011 from seattle, washington, US Sounds like a bunch of us are in the same boat...First Horizon is where my loan originated, and after a year and a half of them having me fax modification papers. They probably have about 400+ papers of mine. First Horizon pretends they are working on your mod. And then when you think you are just about to get the modification they transferred me to Nationstar. Who knows a great lawyer that works on First Horizon Cases?? Help, not fair.
10. Written by Irritated on August 18, 2011 from silverdale, washington, US Had a First Horizon loan and proof of payments. Then I got a notice from a lawyer to come up with a deal to pay back payments. Went to the lawyers office with my proof, and that months mortgage. They would not except it. I called First Horizon, they said they couldn't do anything since it's a case with a lawyer now. I reminded them they hired the lawyer and they can stop it. They refused. I was still trying to straighten it out when a month later, got a notice my home was sold at auction, with First Horizon as the purchaser. None of my states foreclosure policies were followed. Never use them.
